amongst giants…

Posted by Kyle on April 19, 2006

I've always had a fascination with the CN tower.  the size of it is the obvious attraction but it's also the symbolism that seems to go along with it.  it seems to represent so much for toronto and really it is nothing but a giant communications tower with an expensive restaurant at the top.  i've taken several photos of the tower before but never have I gotten one that seemed to really capture how tall it really is.  being there in person and looking up at it you definitely get a feel for its size, but capturing it on film is another.  I think this photo is fairly close and the blue of the sky in the background turned out much better than I expected.

Well, these are actually a partial accumilation of photos from Toronto over a few years. Some were taken with my old Kodak digital camera and some were taken with my new Canon Rebel K2 (film).

This photo in particular was taken from the seat of a school bus. We were on our way to do a lake tour and I noticed this jammed ad at an intersection when we stopped. I don't recall the neighbourhood. Sometimes things just make you think. This one did for me.
